Our businesses are complementary and integrated, and they promote a circular economy, driving synergies and economies of scale. We operate across the entire steel production chain, from iron ore extraction to the commercialization of the finished steel. Similarly, we are involved in the entire cement production process, from raw materials to final products, supported by our logistics network that handles the transportation of materials and finished goods.

We maintain various Socio-environmental and Sustainability Management tools, aiming to act proactively and transform natural resources into prosperity and sustainable development. To achieve this, the Company monitors and ensures the proper functioning of its Environmental Management System (EMS), implemented in accordance with the international standard ISO 14001:2015. Approximately 95% of the Group’s production units are certified under this standard, with the remaining 5% scheduled for certification by 2030. All units undergo internal audits to ensure their environmental compliance, and we are committed to continuous improvement through environmental performance monitoring.

Sustainability Policy

The Sustainability Policy guides a governance structure on ESG topics that spans from the Board of Directors to administrative and operational areas. This cross-functional vision and sustainability strategy are driven by the CSN Group’s Sustainability Department, which is responsible for defining the ESG strategic plan, setting socio-environmental goals, and monitoring projects and initiatives aimed at achieving strategic objectives. This department, which reports directly to the CEO, also leads initiatives for acculturation, engagement, and training across all businesses on ESG topics.
