    We believe that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion constitute a promising path that contributes to the transformation of our society and boosts our business, the initiatives and actions carried out reflect in practice mechanisms that promote equity and bring sustainable results of representation and equality. 

    In 2021, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department was created in the company, and to confirm our commitment to this agenda, a bold goal was established: doubling the female workforce at CSN by 2025, from 14% to 28%. Online, we intensified the Programa Capacitar Mulheres in several areas, including Steel in Volta Redonda, Mining in Congonhas, Tecon in Itaguaí, Prada Embalagens e Distribuição, as well as the Cement units in Arcos and Alhandra.

    The CSN Group is committed to zero tolerance for any type of discrimination, as expressed in its Code of Ethics. We understand that an inclusive and diverse environment is important to stimulate innovation and ensure the longevity of our business. CSN also believes that an inclusive approach is fundamental to eliminating barriers that prevent the hiring and retention of women, and the resulting performance improvement due to gender diversity. 

    The result of the representation of Women in the CSN Group went from 14.5% in December 2020 to 23% in December 2023, an increase of 97% in the number of women in the period. 

    In relation to the result of Representatividade da Pessoa com Deficiência, in 2023 we had a growth of 28%, in relation to the year 2022, relying on practices that aim to include these citizens, such as Capacitar Pessoa com Deficiência, launched in 2021 with the objective of training and hiring. Furthermore, goals were cascaded to all the group’s businesses, directing everyone towards a path of greater inclusion and diversity
