Reduce the frequency rate of accidents by 30% (CAF+SAF – own and third parties). | In 2022 we reached a rate of 1,79 (-26,5% relative to the base year).

Governance
Continuously increase our Index of Attendance to the best governance practices provided for in CVM Instruction No. 80/2022. I In 2022, we maintained total and partial assistance for 76% of the items, seeking assistance for 85%.
Compliance
Conduct training with 90% of employees active in the CSN Group in compliance, covering code of ethics and anti-corruption policy. I In 2022, 83% of employees were trained.
CSN Group
Carry out the complete de-characterization of dams built upstream of CSN by 2030. I In 2022 we reached the complete de-characterization of 2 dams.
CSN Mining- Water Resources
Reduce new water withdrawal in iron ore production by at least 10% per ton of ore produced. I In 2022, we reached 0.26.
Certifications
By 2022, achieve ISO 14001:2015 certification at the following units: CSN Cimentos de Volta Redonda (RJ) and CSN Cimentos Alhandra (PB). I Goal achieved
CSN Mining- Water Resources
Carry out the Water Footprint study, according to ISO 14.046:2017 in the units of Arcos and Volta Redonda until 2022. I Studies were carried out, target achieved.
CSN Inova
By 2022, development of two new products/services. I In 2022, 2 new products were developed (Circula + and i9 Mining), target achieved.
CSN Inova
Conduct six weeks of training on Innovation, ESG and Venture Capital topics at CSN Group units, by 2022. I Six weeks of training completed, target achieved.
Steel- CO2 Intensity
Reduction of 20% of CO2e emissions per tonne of crude steel by 2035 according to the WSA (World Steel Association) methodology. I In 2022 we reached 1.99 CO2e/ton of steel (-5% compared to the base year).
Cement- CO2 Intensity
Reduction of 28% of CO2 emissions per ton of cement by 2030, reaching 375 kgCO2e/t cement, according to CSI (Cement Sustainability Initiative) methodology. In 2022 we reached 481 kgCO2e/ton of cement (-8% compared to the base year).
Mining- CO2 Intensity
Reduction of 30% in CO2 e emissions per metric ton of ore produced by 2035 (Scopes 1 and 2). I In 2022 we reached 7,92 kgCO2e/ton of ore (+37% compared to the base year).
Mining- Net Zero
Net Zero achievement by 2044 in the emissions of scopes 1 and 2 of CSN Mineração. I In 2022 we achieved a 8% increase in absolute emissions compared to the base year.
Cement- Energy Efficiency
Reduce by 5% the electrical consumption (kwh/ton of cement), in relation to the base year. I In 2022, we reached an intensity of 70,38 kwh/ton of cement (-18% compared to the base year). The target was achieved and we set out to maintain this level until 2030.
Cement - Energy Efficiency
Reduce thermal consumption (GJ/ton of clinker) by 2030 by 1% by 2030, reaching 3.22 GJ/ton produced, meeting the target set for 2050 in the Cement Sustainability Initiative roadmap for the sector. I In 2021, we reached 3.31 GJ/ton of cement (+1.2% compared to the base year).
Cement- Operational efficiency
Reduce the clinket factor in cement by 16% by 2030 I In 2022, we reached 55.9% clinker factor (-4% compared to the base year).
Mining- Energy Efficiency
Maintenance of electricity consumption of 100% renewable sources at CSN Mineração. I In 2022, we maintained 100% renewable electricity consumption.

40% reduction in particulate matter emissions per tonne of crude steel in UPV by 2030 according to WSA (World Steel Association) methodology. I In 2022 we reached the intensity of 0.99 tMP/ton of steel (+27% compared to the base year).
