CSN Mineração moves forward with dam decommissioning process

CSN Mineração remains steadfast in its strategy to eliminate all of its dams, regardless of the construction method. Over the past five years, the company has been conducting an intense and continuous program to decommission its structures, reinforcing its commitment to safety and sustainability.

The most recent structures to be eliminated were the Engenho Dam and the Vila 2 Dam, which join the Vigia, Auxiliar do Vigia, and B5 dams, which had already been eliminated previously. In addition, interventions at the Lagarto Dam are at an advanced stage, demonstrating CSN Mineração’s steady progress in this significant effort.
