CSN invests in simulators for employee training
August 14, 2024
CSN is investing in state-of-the-art simulators for training and retraining workers at the Presidente Vargas Plant in Volta Redonda. The simulators complement the theoretical part of the training, providing students with the opportunity to practice in a safe and controlled environment.
According to the company, the initiative offers employees the opportunity to train more safely and effectively.
Currently, the company uses two simulators: the overhead crane simulator and the safe behavior simulator. Both support the training that takes place at the Presidente Vargas Plant’s Operational Development Center (CDO).
The first class of overhead crane operators has already been trained using the simulator. In total, 72 employees completed the theoretical course and classes of 15 students were trained on the simulator.
“The use of simulators contributes significantly to increased productivity and improved workplace safety,” says Ana Paula Gonçalves, People and Management Manager. “In addition, simulators optimize the learning process, providing a more dynamic and interactive environment for employees.”
