CSN trains women for the steel industry

Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) is accepting applications until September 20 for its special training program for women. The program aims to promote the education and qualification of women through free professional training courses.
In total, more than 150 places are available for courses in Steel Operator, Mobile Machine Operator, Mechanical Maintenance, Welding, and Electrical. Throughout the course, participants will be trained to work in the company’s operational area.
The prerequisites are:
- Women over 23 years of age;
- High school diploma;
- Residence in the cities of Volta Redonda, Barra Mansa, Pinheiral, and Barra do Piraí.
In partnership with the Volta Redonda City Hall, registrations can be made at the city’s CRAS centers and online at www.csn.com.br/oportunidades.
The selection process includes registration, eligibility analysis, testing, a panel with a manager, medical exams, and submission of documentation.
Training will be provided by the Pandiá Calógeras Technical School (ETPC), and those who are approved after completing the program may be hired by CSN.
