Learn about “Talentos da Comunidade”, a Transnordestina project for training women
April 4, 2024
With the aim of developing a pool of female talent in the regions where it operates, the Transnordestina railway has created the Talentos da Comunidade project, which trains women who have completed high school and are interested in joining the company’s workforce. This training takes place in a 32-hour workshop that covers skills such as initiative, teamwork, communication and personal marketing, as well as basic knowledge about railways.
In addition to supporting women in their careers, Talentos da Comunidade strengthens the recruitment and selection process in regions with a shortage of female labor, especially in operational areas, and helps the company achieve its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion goals. The workshops have already taken place in Salgueiro (PE) and São Luis (MA) and in 2025 will be held at the Teresina (PI) and Sobral (CE) units.
Check out some testimonials from participants:
“I left there with a different mindset and willing to face any challenge in the job market… knowing that we can work in any area, the girls who currently work in the workshop, electricians, machinists, are great examples and certainly gave me a boost of encouragement and willpower”, Karina Alves Fonseca.
“Thank you for offering this training, which has added so much knowledge to my professional life and opened the door to new opportunities. Congratulations to those responsible for the excellent content and the way it was presented. The classes were not only informative, but also incredibly inspiring”, Danielly Andrade.
