• Machine monitoring and management startup is CSN’s new venture

    August 18, 2024

GaussFleet, a startup specializing in machine monitoring and management, is expanding its presence in different segments of CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional). After achieving promising results at the Presidente Vargas Plant (UPV) in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, the solution is being adopted at other company units, boosting operational efficiency and productivity gains through measurements and data generation.

The numbers are impressive: at UPV, there are already 512 road fleet vehicles and 43 automated locomotives equipped with the company’s technology. The proposal is to extend this implementation to other CSN units.

Also at UPV, the solution is being applied to overhead cranes, aiming to optimize their use and sharing among production areas.

In addition to UPV, other segments of CSN are enjoying the benefits of this technological solution. In the leased fleet of light vehicles, more than 200 passenger cars are being monitored and their use has been optimized. At the Casa de Pedra unit in Arcos/MG and at Ferrovia Transnordestina LTDA in Fortaleza/CE, artificial intelligence solutions are applied to detect risk events during the driving time of drivers and operators.

With an approach focused on efficiency and innovation, GaussFleet has established itself as a strategic partner of CSN, contributing to the continuous improvement of operations and the achievement of even more impressive results. The integration of technologies such as telemetry, IoT, and artificial intelligence allows for a detailed analysis of machine performance, identifying areas for improvement and enabling more assertive decision-making.

The partnership between GaussFleet and CSN Inova represents a joining of forces between two leading companies in their respective segments. With a shared vision of excellence and innovation, they are ready to face market challenges and drive sustainable growth across Brazilian industry.
