    October 6, 2021

To act jointly as a contribution and action tool in the fight against racism, through actions to promote diversity and inclusion that reduce the scenario of racial inequality in Brazil. This is the purpose of MOVER, Movement for Racial Equity, an initiative that currently brings together 45 large companies in the country and multinationals in an unprecedented movement, which unites competitors and partners from different sectors of the economy, to promote racial equity, in a action plan that aims to generate 10,000 new leadership positions for black people and generate opportunities for 3 million people in the coming years through practical actions.

Formed by Alcoa, Aliansce Sonae, Align, Ambev, Americanas, Arcos Dorados, Atento, Bain & Company, BRF, Cargill, Coca-Cola Brasil, Colgate-Palmolive, CSN, Danone, Descomplica, DHL, Diageo, Disney, EF, General Mills, Gerdau, GPA, Grupo Carrefour Brasil, Heineken, JBS, Kellogg’s, Klabin, Kraft Heinz, L’Oréal Brasil, Lojas Renner, Magalu, Manserv, Marfrig, MARS, Michelin, Mondelëz International, Moove, Nestlé, O Boticário, PepsiCo , Petz, Sodexo, Tenda, Vale and Via, MOVER’s premise is to build together. “We intend to transform the now, where doing is better than talking and where listening is the best way to learn. To change the now, movement is needed. Just as it is necessary to bring everyone together for this conversation. “Racial issues aren’t just for black people, they’re about white people too,” declare the presidents of all companies participating in the manifesto.

In the document, all the companies involved make a public commitment as agents of transformation to collectively evolve in the anti-racist journey, in a purposeful way, with their entire value chain, joining forces. The merger of companies in MOVER has the active participation of CEOs in decision-making and aims to accelerate the transformation processes existing in the member companies and effectively impact society. For this, the movement seeks to add more companies interested in joining the initiative to expand actions and debates and who want to learn and share experiences and good practices and transform today into a better tomorrow.

Guided by transversal actions, the movement involves processes, structures, cultural change and investments in qualification, training and job creation and progressive goals until 2030, through three pillars: Leadership, Employment and Training and Awareness.

3 million people benefited and 10 thousand blacks in leadership positions by 2030

In the Leadership pillar, MOVER’s commitment is to work towards the creation of 10,000 new positions for blacks in leadership positions (Supervision, coordination, management, directors and C-levels) by 2030, through inclusive models of recruitment and development. In the field of Employment and Training, the planned actions aim to generate opportunities for 3 million people, by offering courses, support and networking with black entrepreneurs, among other actions. In the Awareness pillar, the Movement intends to be a platform and support tool in the goal of having a population aware of racism, with communication in the media and points of sale, in addition to developing the Communication Guide, acting throughout the value chain

The group will use the potential for impact with employees – together, the 45 companies employ 1.2 million people – to carry out important initiatives inside and outside the companies, having an impact on various segments of society, such as education, entrepreneurship and job creation and income. One of MOVER’s internal actions is to create guiding principles with transversal actions, involving processes, structures and cultural change.

MOVER has partnerships with consulting firms Bain & Company and Barbosa, Raimundo Gôntijo Câmara Advogados and public relations and content agencies InPress Porter Novelli and Oliver Press.

The complete manifesto and information on the three fronts of the initiative are available on the MOVER hotsite (www.somosmover.org).
