Women transforming the industry: meet Cassia

The Women Transforming Industry campaign values and recognizes the achievements of women who have been gaining ground at the CSN Group, often in areas historically occupied by men. The initiative, aligned with the ESG Committee’s agenda, takes on even greater relevance this year, marked by strategic goals for the Company.

Among these inspiring stories is that of Catia, Technical Assistant at CEEE, who joined the company in 2001 as a plant and substation operator at the Itaúba hydroelectric plant. “Being chosen to represent my sector is an honor. Working in industry is more than just operating processes — it’s transforming realities. And when a woman transforms, she brings other stories, voices, and inspirations with her,” says Catia, who proudly reinforces the role of women in building a more just and balanced future.

The campaign gathered testimonials from female employees in the steel, mining, cement, logistics, and energy sectors, showing that the presence of women in industry is synonymous with competence, courage, and transformation in motion.
