• Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At CSN, we believe that a company’s strength lies in the plurality of its perspectives, stories, and experiences. Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is a core part of our sustainability strategy and organizational culture, guided by the appreciation of people and the promotion of real opportunities for everyone.

We recognize that promoting gender equity in the corporate environment requires intentional and structured actions to address historical challenges that affect the professional participation and development of women. For this reason, we have set clear goals for female representation, understanding that they are important tools for driving cultural transformation, mitigating inequalities, and building a more just and innovative environment.

In 2024, we reached 25% female representation in our total workforce—a 78.6% increase compared to 2020. In leadership positions, female presence reached 15.5%, surpassing the 13% recorded in 2022. For 2025, our goal is to reach 28%. Initiatives like the “Capacitar Mulheres” (Empower Women) Program and “EMPODERA” are pillars of this transformation, as they complement and boost our representation goals by creating concrete conditions for more women to develop, grow professionally, and hold prominent positions.

As one of the founding members of MOVER—the Movement for Racial Equity—CSN has invested heavily in training black talent. In 2024, we provided 1,700 development scholarships for things like language, leadership, MBAs and short-term courses, reinforcing our commitment to equity.

Through partnerships, such as the one with Somar Diversidade, CSN Cimentos conducted an Inclusion Census with an 80% participation rate. This census mapped people with disabilities (PcDs) and those with reduced mobility. Our Capacitar Program and Incluir Program also include this group, promoting dignified and respectful employability.
