    March 27, 2026

CSN has achieved ISO 45001 certification for its steelmaking facilities located in Araucária (Paraná) and Porto Real (Rio de Janeiro), reinforcing its commitment to maintaining the highest standards in occupational health and safety across its operations.

ISO 45001 is the internationally recognized standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, providing a structured framework for identifying, assessing, and mitigating workplace risks. Its implementation supports the prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses, while promoting safer and more resilient working environments.

The certifications reflect CSN’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its risk management practices and continuously improve its health and safety performance. They also demonstrate the robustness of its internal processes and the effective integration of multidisciplinary teams in advancing a strong safety culture.

The Araucária facility was the first within the group in Brazil to obtain the certification, followed by the Porto Real facility, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey toward operational excellence and enhanced governance in health and safety.

More than a certification, ISO 45001 represents CSN’s long-term commitment to protecting lives, ensuring the sustainability of its operations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
